Working as a TEAM…

We knew our days were numbered and now here we are…we have both left our previous jobs – Nate at County Line Church and Stacy at Lakewood Park Christian School – where we were blessed to work with great teams of people.

One more reason leaving is so hard!

However, the prospect of working with our future Three Worlds (3W) teammates has helped ease the loss and is making the transition easier for us. Sent by Global Strategy, members of the 3W team walk alongside local Church of God pastors and congregations in the Europe and Middle East Region. (You can read about Global Strategy in last week’s post here).

From its inception ten years ago, 3W has placed a high value on functioning as one team throughout the region.

Traditionally, missionaries have had a local church or organization they work within and no responsibilities outside of that scope. In some instances this has been the only option, however many times there are both local AND regional benefits of utilizing missionaries throughout a region. The connectivity and synergy this creates amongst congregations can benefit and strengthen the church as a whole.

Each missionary couple on the 3W team has local responsibilities, but is also utilized around the region based upon their strengths and the needs of congregations where full-time missionaries cannot be placed.

Another benefit of having a regional missionary team in Europe and the Middle East is that 3W team members do not operate in isolation from one another. Annual staff meetings, frequent team calls, and ongoing opportunities for collaboration help create a team culture and environment that has proven to be beneficial not only to the team, but also to churches and pastors the 3W team is able to walk alongside.

Nate, Stacy, and Family

As associate regional coordinators for Europe and the Middle East, Nate and Stacy will be working alongside Regional Coordinators Patrick and Jamie Nachtigall as together they help connect, encourage, and resource the Church of God throughout the region.
